The library of Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1955 on the basis of the institute. Initially, the library consisted of 4 small rooms that were old, not suitable for a library. The book fund consisted of 10-15,000 books sent from Russian medical institutes.

In 1955-1965 A.K. Kaunbaev headed the library, in 1965-1969- L.N.Illek, in 1969-1981 N.I.Eletskaya, in 1981-1987 L.R.Maynakskaya, since 1988  M.Akhmedova to the present time  has been heading the library.

Library of ASMI on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 381 dated June 20, 2006 “On the organization of providing the population of the republic with an information library” was renamed the Center for Information Resources.

The Information Resource Center consists of 5 departments:

  1. Department of periodicals publications, scientific and methodological information
  2. Department of cataloging, systematization and restoration of information and library resources
  3. Information and Library Resources Service Department (including subscription services, reading rooms and book storage)
  4. Electronic Information Resources Department
  5. Department of Foreign Information Library Resources

The activities of the Information Resource Center are organized on the basis of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 1487 dated February 23, 2011 “On measures for the further development of the information library service based on information and communication technologies in 2011-2015”, order № 56 of  Minister of Health of the Republic Uzbekistan dated February 24, 2011 “On measures for the further effective development of the information library service and the information resource center based on information and communication technologies.”

In order to ensure the execution of Order № 13 of Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 11, 2016 “On the organization of a center for the implementation of e-education in educational institutions” based on the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 18, 2015 “Electronic government”. Moreover, work has been established between the CIR and the departments of the Institute for the exchange of electronic information.

ELECTRONIC DIGITALIZATION OF BOOKS

The electronic resource base for users consists of 505 textbook titles, 773 manual titles and more than 10,000 other resources. Internet speed 100 mg/b. Electronic forms of educational literature are placed in the “library.adti.uz” section of the Institute’s website “Electronic Library“ in the context of subjects. There are 2445 titles in the library.

 

 

Information- Resource Center news:

In the main building of ASMI, an additional hall was organized at the CIR. It contains educational literature, fiction and a computer.

For professors, teachers, masters, clinical residents and students, the CIR has the EBSCO and Sciencedirect websites.

In the current year, 19,092 items of new information resources in 439 areas have been uploaded on 7.80 gb and 8.1 gb and placed on the basis of the electronic educational hall.

USING ELECTRONIC LITERATURE IS MUCH CONVENIENT!!!

The Telegram network has 1 channel and 5 groups. These are the channel CIR ASMI, CIR ASMI – students and masters, medical journals, experts in medicine, family medicine, family reading library, educational literature, magazines, fiction and foreign literature are placed in these groups. The main telegram channel has 1623 titles of educational literature.

In the second half of the 1950s and early 60s. there was a shortage of scientific and pedagogical personnel at the institute. To meet the need in this area, young, gifted scientists-teachers from the Samarkand and Tashkent medical institutes were sent to work at the ASMI. Professors and associate professors K. A. Zufarov, N. P. Sokolov, E. Kolos, I. G. Marderstein, A. Ya. Yasnogorodsky, I. K. Karaev, E. Kh. Turakulov, N. K. Akhmedov, P. Zh. Tulaganov, VA Babaeva, TM Koriev, GF Korotko, Kh. K. Salokhiddinov, BN Soibel, NI Pasternak and others selflessly worked for the full-fledged activity of the institute. Many gifted candidates and doctors of sciences were trained under their leadership.

The scientific and pedagogical potential of the institute began to grow gradually. In achieving such results, the merit of the scientists of the institute, who worked as vice-rector for academic affairs, is very significant.

Vice-rectors for scientific work who worked at the institute:

By order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 6, 1957, N.P. Sokolov was appointed first vice-rector for scientific work. Over the years of Professor N.P.Sokolov’s activity (1957-1969), 8 doctoral and 52 candidate dissertations were defended. In addition, 1 patent was received. During this period, 5 scientific and practical conferences were held.

GF Korotko. Professor G.F. Korotko worked as vice-rector for scientific work in 1969 – 1974. During this period, 15 doctoral and 87 master’s theses were defended. In addition, 78 scientific articles, 729 scientific theses were published in foreign and republican scientific journals. The professors-teachers of the institute prepared 16 rationalization proposals, 181 applied works. During this period, 5 scientific and practical conferences were held.

N.N. Chukanin. Professor N. N. Chukanin worked as vice-rector for scientific work from 1975 to 1983. During this period, 14 doctoral and 98 master’s theses were defended by professors and teachers of the institute. 257 scientific articles were published in scientific journals, 1881 scientific theses were published in conference proceedings, 46 patents were received, 210 rationalization proposals and 515 applied works were prepared. During this period, 11 scientific and practical conferences were held.

Ya.Yu. Illek. Professor J. Yu. Illek worked as vice-rector for scientific work in 1983-84. During this period, 7 doctoral and 26 candidate dissertations were defended by professors and teachers of the institute. In addition, 40 scientific articles, 301 scientific theses were published in the conference proceedings, 4 patents were received, 36 rationalization proposals and 190 applied works were prepared. During this period, 3 scientific and practical conferences were held.

V.G.Sukhoterin. Professor V.G. Sukhoterin worked as vice-rector for scientific work in 1984-1991. During this period, 8 doctoral and 29 master’s theses were defended by professors-teachers of the institute. In addition, 298 scientific articles were published in scientific journals, 2409 scientific theses were published in conference proceedings, 24 patents were received, 492 rationalization proposals and 963 applied works were prepared. 8 monographs and 1 textbook were published. During this period, 10 scientific and practical conferences were held, 11 professors-teachers participated in scientific and practical conferences, congresses and symposia abroad.

K. D. Zhalolov. Professor KD Zhalolov worked as a vice-rector for scientific work in 1991 – 96. As a result of the activities carried out on the organization of scientific work, the professors-teachers of the institute defended 9 doctoral and 40 master’s theses. In various scientific journals, 272 scientific articles and 1640 scientific abstracts were published in conference proceedings. 20 patents were received, along with them 278 rationalization proposals, 353 applied works were developed, 13 monographs and 5 textbooks were published.

Z.S. Salokhiddinov. For many years, from 1996 to 2007. Professor ZS Salokhiddinov worked as a vice-rector for scientific work. During this period, 8 doctoral and 53 master’s theses were defended by professors and teachers of the institute. The volume of scientific articles increased, 1692 such articles were published in various republican and foreign scientific journals. In the collection of conferences 6507 scientific theses are highlighted. In the field of invention, 59 patents were obtained. 868 rationalization proposals, 1117 applied works were developed. 29 monographs and 26 textbooks have been published. During this period, 61 scientific and practical conferences were held, 51 professor-teachers participated in conferences, congresses and symposia in foreign countries.

G. M. Khodzhimatov. From 2007 to the present, Professor G. M. Khodzhimatov has been working as Vice-Rector for Research. The level of knowledge, spiritual maturity, socio-political knowledge and outlook of Professor G. M. Khodzhimatov were taken into account.

Internal control and monitoring department activities

On the basis of the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 105 dated April 26, 1996, the Control Inspectorate was created at the institute.

The Inspectorate is an operational department of the Main Directorate of State Attestation, Accreditation and Control of Higher and Secondary Specialized Educational Institutions.

According to the above order, the position of the head of the department is equal to the position of the vice-rector.

The Department of Monitoring and Internal Control was established on November 4, 1996 under the name “Inspectorate of Internal Control”. The duties of the head of the inspection were assigned to the vice-rector for scientific work, professor Z.S. Salakhiddinov.

Assistant professors A.Z. Iskhokov and Y.K. Kosimov were appointed as methodologists, and A. Sh. Shermatov was appointed assistant. In May 1997, Professor O.S. Salokhiddinov was appointed head of the internal control inspection. In 1998, associate professor B. Mamadiev was hired by the inspectorate.

To carry out its activities, the control inspectorate has developed its own Regulation on the basis of the “Regulation of the Internal Control Inspection”, developed by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education. The department plans and implements work to control the quality of the educational process.

In each academic year, the inspectorate systematically studies the state of educational, methodological, spiritual, educational, research and medical work in the departments and provides information on the results of checks at the academic councils of the institute and faculties, meetings of the administration. For the indicated shortcomings, measures are developed, their implementation is monitored.

The Internal Control Inspectorate deals not only with departments, but also pays attention to the activities of the departments of the institute, to issues of labor discipline. According to specially developed and approved by the Academic Council of the Institute questionnaires about the educational process, the inspection annually studies the personal opinions of all students. The results of these polls are widely discussed at the scientific councils of the institute.

In addition, at the end of each year, the inspectorate conducts an annual attestation of the teaching staff on test questions separately compiled and approved by the academic council of the institute. Based on the decision of the Academic Council, additional allowances are established in the amount of 30, 40 and 50% to the salaries of teachers who have achieved high results in educational, methodological, spiritual, educational, research and medical work in accordance with the results of certification. On the basis of the order of the Republican Main Department of Attestation, Accreditation and Control, the head of the inspection, Professor O.S. state medical institute. The chief methodologist B. Mamadaliev studied the activities of the Andijan State Pedagogical Institute of Languages ​​as a member of the regional commission. This testifies to the confidence of the Republican Main Directorate of Attestation, Accreditation and Control to the employees of the control inspection of the institute.

In the 2000-2001 academic year, in connection with the transfer to another job of the methodologist A. Shermatov, S. Mamatkhuzhaev was appointed to his place.

Based on the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, since 2002, the Internal Control Inspectorate has been renamed the “Monitoring and Internal Control Department”. In the same year, S. Zhaloliddinov was appointed to the position of the methodologist of the department. In connection with the addition of the monitoring service, on the basis of a separately issued order of the ministry, information on the multifaceted activities of the institute is provided quarterly and at the end of the year. The department carries out its functions according to the plan approved by the administration.

In 2005, Professor M.R.Mamadiev was appointed head of the department. In the department worked: chief methodologist, associate professor K. Omonov, methodologists -S. Zhaloliddinov and F. Khamidov.

2005 – 2007 the department of monitoring and internal control conducted activities in the following composition: head of the department, professor M. R. Mamadiev, chief methodologist, associate professor T. Zh. Zhalilov, associate professor K. Amonov, methodologists: Ph.D. F. Sh. Khamidov and S. Zhaloliddinov.

The Department of Monitoring and Internal Control of the Andijan State Medical Institute operates on the basis of the “Regulations on the Department of Monitoring and Internal Control of the Andijan State Medical Institute”, approved by the rector of the Institute on September 28, 2007.

On December 20, 2008, Doctor of Medical Sciences was appointed head of the department. A. B. Pakirdinov. S. Zhalolidd also worked in the department.
